from 10GB to PC with thunderbolt

from 10GB to PC with thunderbolt Let's stay in the Phantom Flex world. When it is not possible to use a desktop PC to transfer the footage, then you are forced to use a laptop. I've been looking for a laptop that has a 10GB Ethernet port for years, but it was virtually impossible to find. Solution? Thunderbolt port - 10GB. Easy? No!

We must therefore have a laptop with a USB-C port and thunderbolt protocol. Attention, the thunderbolt protocol is indicated by a lightning bolt icon. Both in the case of TB2 and TB3.

The link will then be: Cinestation 10GB to Adapter 10GB / TB3 to PC Laptop.
Are all adapters ok? Absolutely not, at least in my experience. I started with a Sanlink2 that converted 10GB to TB2 and everything worked perfectly. Unfortunately it broke and was no longer repairable. I bought a Sonnet Solo which worked for a while, but at some point it started inserting frames with a black line, frames random!
I then switched to a Sanlink3, small and comfortable, but equally problem-producing.
At this point I bought a Sonnet Twin, I finally had no more problems.

I am not a computer expert, but when connecting the various devices it must always be checked that all are working and that the PC sees both the adapter and the cinestation, otherwise nothing will work.

Soluzione? Porta thunderbolt - 10GB. Facile? No!

Il collegamento sarà quindi: Cinestation 10GB to Adapter 10GB/TB3 to PC Laptop.
Tutti gli adattatori vanno bene? Assolutamente no, almeno nella mia esperienza.
